Remix OS is the modified version of android which is based on the android-x86 OS. The remix OS is designed to run on Intel and AMD processors. This is a Linux based operating system and is currently not that powerful to fully use the computer's hardware resources. JIDE technology has developed this operating system so that you can run android on your Windows PC or MAC computer without even wiping your C:\ drive because the OS runs on a bootable USB device and you can anytime go back to your original operating system.
Currently, the Remix OS is in alpha testing, so most apps are not working on it. You should wait for the stable version. Till then if you want to experience android on your computer (PC) then we are here to teach you.
Note: Please note that changing the boot option in BIOS is different in different computers. So, you should have to check yourself the boot options. Basically, the first boot option is the HDD, then the optical drive. You have to change this order and choose the 'USB' as the primary boot option.

Requirements
- A USB drive at least 8 GB in size.
- A laptop or desktop computer having a USB 3.0 port.
- Remix OS for PC ISO - Download
How To Install Remix OS On Your MAC Or Windows Computer
- Download the ISO and extract it on your desktop.
- Plug in your USB drive and format it to 'FAT32' partition.
- Now open the Remix OS USB Tool. Click browse to grab the ISO file.
- Now click OK to create the bootable USB. It will take some time.
- After it is finished it will ask you to reboot your PC.
- After rebooting, get into the BIOS settings and change the boot option from hard drive to USB.
- Then save the BIOS settings and exit.
- The Remix OS will start running from the USB drive.

How To Install Apps In Remix OS
Currently adding a Google account is not working in Remix OS. But you can manually download android apps and install on it. There is an inbuilt browser in it. Tap the start button in below left corner to access the browser. Make sure to setup Wi-Fi in 'Settings'.
